Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is a regenerative treatment that uses a concentrated component of your own blood, rich in platelets and growth factors, to support the body’s natural healing and tissue-repair processes. It may be used for hair and scalp concerns, skin rejuvenation, and selected musculoskeletal or joint conditions, following an individual clinical assessment.
Please note: Depending on the reason for PRP treatment, a GP consultation and clinical assessment may be required prior to treatment to determine suitability and ensure the most appropriate treatment approach.
PRP Skin Rejuvenation
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) skin rejuvenation uses a concentrated component of your own blood, rich in platelets and growth factors, to support the skin’s natural repair and renewal processes. Treatment may help improve the appearance of skin texture, tone and overall skin quality, making it a popular option for those seeking a natural approach to skin rejuvenation.
Because PRP is prepared from your own blood, treatment is personalised to you. It can be used on areas such as the face, neck and décolletage, following consultation and assessment by your treating practitioner.
Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising can occur following treatment, and individual results vary. Your practitioner will discuss suitability, expected outcomes, potential risks and aftercare with you before proceeding.
PRP Hair Rejuvenation
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) Hair Rejuvenation uses a concentrated component of your own blood, rich in platelets and growth factors, which is introduced into targeted areas of the scalp to support the natural processes involved in hair and scalp health.
PRP may be considered for people experiencing hair thinning or reduced hair density. As there are many potential causes of hair loss, treatment begins with an individual assessment to determine whether PRP is appropriate for you.
A series of treatments may be recommended depending on your individual needs. Temporary redness, tenderness, swelling or bruising may occur following treatment. Your practitioner will discuss suitability, realistic expectations, potential risks and aftercare before proceeding.
PRP for Musculoskeletal & Joint Conditions
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is a regenerative treatment that uses a concentrated component of your own blood, rich in platelets and growth factors, to support the body’s natural healing and tissue-repair processes.
PRP may be considered as part of the management of selected musculoskeletal, joint, tendon and soft tissue conditions. At Plaza Central Medical & Aesthetics, treatment is medically led and may include ultrasound-guided assessment and injection to allow accurate targeting of the area being treated.
Not all musculoskeletal conditions are suitable for PRP. Your doctor will assess your condition, discuss available treatment options and explain potential benefits, limitations, risks and expected recovery before determining whether PRP is appropriate for you.
For bookings, please call us on (07) 5343 7660 so our team can guide you to the most appropriate consultation for your treatment needs.
For musculoskeletal PRP, please book an initial consultation with your preferred GP through our Bookings tab. Please note that treatment may not be performed at your initial consultation. Your GP will first assess your condition and discuss your recommended treatment plan, the procedure, expected outcomes and associated costs. If PRP is considered appropriate, a treatment appointment can then be arranged.
