Meet Dr David Pratt
Dr David Pratt is an experienced General Practitioner with over 25 years of medical experience and a special interest in musculoskeletal medicine, sports injuries, pain management, regenerative medicine and vein treatments.
Dr Pratt has advanced training in musculoskeletal ultrasound and regenerative medicine, with a particular focus on Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), prolotherapy and other orthobiologic treatments. He uses ultrasound-guided techniques to assess and treat a range of joint, tendon, ligament and soft-tissue conditions.
Regenerative Medicine & PRP
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) uses a concentrated component of a patient's own blood. Following a blood draw and preparation process, the platelet-rich plasma is injected into the targeted area as part of an individualised treatment plan. PRP may be considered for selected conditions including osteoarthritis, tendon and ligament injuries, and persistent musculoskeletal pain.
Dr Pratt also provides prolotherapy and other regenerative approaches where clinically appropriate, with treatment tailored to each patient's condition and goals.
Areas of Special Interest
PRP and regenerative medicine
Prolotherapy and orthobiologic treatments
Musculoskeletal and sports injuries
Joint, tendon, ligament and spine conditions
Ultrasound-guided procedures
Pain management
Varicose and spider vein treatments
Microsclerotherapy and ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy
Microsclerotherapy & Ultrasound-Guided Sclerotherapy
Evidence-based, minimally invasive treatments for spider and varicose veins. A carefully selected sclerosing solution is injected into the affected veins to encourage them to close and gradually be reabsorbed by the body. Ultrasound guidance allows deeper veins to be accurately identified and treated with precision.
Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA/EVLT)
A minimally invasive treatment for larger varicose veins. A fine laser fibre is guided into the affected vein, where controlled laser energy heats and closes the vein. Blood is then naturally redirected through healthier veins, helping to reduce the appearance and symptoms of varicose veins.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy
PRP therapy uses a small sample of your own blood to prepare a concentrated platelet-rich solution, which is then carefully injected into the targeted area. Platelets contain naturally occurring growth factors that may support the body’s healing and tissue-repair processes. PRP may be considered for selected joint, tendon, ligament and soft-tissue conditions, including certain sports injuries and osteoarthritis.
